Manufacturing
The recipe is Swedish.
18 years down the line manufacturing of the product is still carried out in Scandinavia using only materials that originates from Europe. Icoustic Sound is the exclusive distributor in the BNL, France, Germany and Spain.
Types of installation
Direct installation
The acoustic board is installed directly onto a plasterboard, concrete or timber substrate with either approved adhesive or mechanically fixed with special Icoustic Fade® washers.
Direct-to-grid
The acoustic board is installed directly to a MF metal drywall grid system 400 mm c/c or similar with the special Icoustic Fade®washers.
Icoustic Fade® Acoustic Plaster without an acoustic board
The acoustic plaster is sprayed directly onto a primed plasterboard or concrete substrate to a total thickness of 3mm.
Installation guidelines
1. Acoustic board
The acoustic boards are installed to a suitable substrate with tight joints. Installation can be done mechanically with screws and special washers 400mm c/c or with an approved adhesive.
2. Self-adhesive fiberglass scrim tape
Scrim tape is applied to the joints.
3. Filling
Acoustic plaster is applied onto the scrim tape to level the surface. *
*This step may have to be repeated once the
plaster has dried out and until one has achieved
a completely levelled surface with no indents or
irregularities.
4. Filling
Washers, irregularities and indents
are filled with acoustic plaster to
level the surface. *
* Acoustic plaster on joints and washers can be
given a light sand when dry to remove any
irregularities.
5. Spraying
The acoustic plaster is spray applied in two
layers and should build 3-4mm in total.
6. Trowelling
Trowel both layers of acoustic plaster nicely.
7. smooth
A smooth, medium grain and pure white finish. Sanded or trowelled to achieve a highly aesthetic acoustic solution.
